Sitting along a river feeding into the nearby sea, it was no wonder that Mill Restaurant in Cork, Ireland had great fish and chips. The crisp fish and chips were served with mushy peas, which had a hint of lemon.
Other salad and sandwich lines around pastel wooden chairs and tables filled the restaurant, creating a quaint cafeteria atmosphere. The tables were large and meant to be shared. The warm scone my friend and I shared flaked away as we waited on our fish and talked with the older couple sitting next to us.

Filled with Irish comfort food, my group was not only ready to visit the Blarney castle and gardens, but to kiss the Blarney Stone for good luck, pictured below.
